Jeonnam National University Early Childhood Education Department Student Council Donates Tuition Fees for Low-Income Children
The Green Umbrella Children's Foundation Gwangju Regional Headquarters announced on the 30th that the Student Council of the Department of Early Childhood Education at Chonnam National University donated 800,000 KRW to support the educational expenses of low-income children in Gwangju Metropolitan City in May.
This donation was raised through a fundraising event planned for the first time this year by the student council to commemorate May, which includes Children's Day.
The event involved making and distributing cotton candy directly to students who donated, and it was reported that about 120 students willingly participated in the support within a single day.
The donated funds will be used to support the learning expenses of children from low-income families in Gwangju Metropolitan City, where the learning gap has widened since COVID-19. The Student Council of the Department of Early Childhood Education at Chonnam National University pledged to continue participating in sharing activities for children every year starting with this support.
