Yoon Approval Rating Hits 44.7%, Highest This Year... "G7 and Nuriho Effect" [RnSarch]
A public opinion poll released on the 28th showed that President Yoon Suk-yeol's approval rating for his administration's performance has approached 45%.

View original imageAccording to a survey conducted by R&Search commissioned by CBS No Cut News from the 24th to the 26th, targeting 1,013 men and women nationwide aged 18 and older, positive evaluations of President Yoon's administration rose 3.2 percentage points from the previous week to 44.7%. This is the highest figure in R&Search's regular surveys this year.
President Yoon's approval rating has steadily increased since recording 33.2% in the survey conducted on April 17-18, rising 11.5 percentage points in just over a month. Negative evaluations decreased by 1.7 percentage points from the previous survey to 53.2%.
By age group, negative evaluations were higher among those in their 40s (66.6%) and 50s (61.2%), while positive evaluations were more common among those aged 60 and above (58.8%). Among people in their 30s, negative evaluations dropped by 8.8 percentage points compared to the previous week, and positive evaluations increased by 10.1 percentage points.
R&Search analyzed that this reflects a comprehensive effect of President Yoon's diplomatic activities, including attending the Group of Seven (G7) summit and the successful launch of the Nuri rocket.
Regarding party support ratings, the People Power Party rose 1.7 percentage points to 41.6%, and the Democratic Party of Korea increased by 1.1 percentage points to 43.3%. The Justice Party was at 1.9%, and the non-affiliated group accounted for 11.2%.
This poll was conducted using a structured questionnaire with a wireless phone RDD 100% automated response method, sampling proportionally allocated according to population composition by gender, age group, and region. The response rate was 1.7%, and the margin of error was ±3.1 percentage points at a 95% confidence level.
