Jeonbuk Fire Department Builds 'Proactive Safety Net' with Customized Training for Participants
Installation of 'Safety Education Kiosk' at Jeonbuk 119 Safety Experience Center
Jeonbuk Fire Headquarters (Chief Jun Nak-dong) is focusing on building a proactive safety net through customized education for visitors.
According to Jeonbuk Fire on the 24th, a 'Safety Education Kiosk' was recently installed on the first floor of the Jeonbuk 119 Safety Experience Center. After a pilot operation period, the Safety Education Kiosk will begin full operation on the 30th.
It offers immersive virtual reality experiences incorporating the latest scientific technology through VR HMD, allowing users to learn accurate fire extinguisher usage by various locations, CPR and other emergency response procedures, underground floor fire escape, and traffic accident response guidelines.
During the pilot operation period, the fire extinguisher simulator was especially popular among children. They experience directly extinguishing fires on the screen while holding a practice fire extinguisher. The experience lasts about 4 minutes, which is short and corresponds to the golden time for actual fire suppression, enabling more efficient safety education.
