The Seongsan Fire Station in Changwon, Gyeongnam, will enter a special alert duty for five days from 6 p.m. on the 26th to 9 a.m. on the 30th in celebration of the upcoming Buddha's Birthday.
As the number of visitors to temples is expected to increase on Buddha's Birthday, raising the risk of fire and safety accidents, a special alert duty will be implemented to establish a rapid initial response system.
Accordingly, during the special alert duty period, the fire station will have a total of 581 personnel on emergency standby, including 37 fire trucks and equipment, 205 firefighters, and 376 volunteer firefighters, maintaining an emergency response posture to promptly respond to various disasters.
The main measures include ▲fire safety consulting and education/promotion for fire prevention ▲preventive patrols against large wildfires and other fires ▲rapid on-site response activities and strengthened cooperation systems with related organizations ▲close deployment of firefighting forces at Buddha's Birthday festivals and event sites.
