A police officer was arrested in flagrante delicto for stealing cash from an unlocked vehicle.
The Gwangju Metropolitan Police Agency announced on the 24th that they have booked Sergeant A, affiliated with a district unit under the Gwangsan Police Station in Gwangju, without detention on charges of theft.
Sergeant A is accused of entering an unlocked vehicle in the parking lot of an apartment complex in Duam-dong, Buk-gu, Gwangju, the previous morning and stealing approximately 150,000 won in cash.
It was reported that Sergeant A committed this act while heavily intoxicated on a day off.
