The Integrity Pledge Relay is one of this year’s action tasks selected by the district to strengthen public officials’ awareness of integrity and to spread a culture of practicing it.
The first participant was Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu. On the 23rd, the district held the ‘Senior Officials Integrity Pledge Relay’ with the participation of all senior officials at grade 4 and above, including Mayor Park.
At this event, all attendees pledged and personally signed a pledge to take the lead in fostering mutual communication and a fair organizational culture as public officials.
Through this, Mapo-gu senior officials promised to actively practice ▲leading by example to realize an Integrity Mapo ▲communication based on mutual respect and consideration ▲eradication of academic, blood, regional ties, and solicitation ▲elimination of improper orders ▲and improvement of unreasonable practices.
Following this, each participant set and personally wrote an ‘Integrity Message’ as a promise to residents and a self-commitment. Mayor Park Gang-su left the message, “Zero Corruption and Integrity, a Promise to Our Residents.”
This Integrity Pledge Relay will continue to senior officials at grade 5 on the 31st.
All employees working at the district office and community service centers are also participating in the Integrity Pledge Relay.
Each department creates slogans reflecting their work characteristics, posts them on the internal administrative network Saeol Administration System, and practices them as part of a campaign.
The department in charge of budget affairs (Digital Finance Division) created the slogan “The Power to Prevent Budget Waste, Integrity,” and the department managing food business hygiene (Sanitation Division) created “Clean Hygiene, Let’s Make Fair Hygiene with Integrity!” and are practicing these slogans.
With all 57 departments and neighborhoods in Mapo-gu participating in this ‘One Department, One Integrity Slogan’ initiative, the Integrity Pledge Relay has gained momentum.
