T'way Air Employees Participate in Sea Day Marathon Event
T'way Air employees participated in a marathon event, running together while shedding sweat for future growth.
On the 22nd, T'way Air announced that on the morning of the 20th, about 90 employees, including CEO Jeong Hong-geun and members of the in-house marathon club T'way Running Crew, took part in the 'Sea Day Marathon Event' held at Yeouido Hangang Park in Seoul.
At the event, executives including the CEO, as well as flight crew, cabin crew, maintenance staff, and general employees who usually find it difficult to gather in one place due to scheduling and work duties, came together to run.
This event was organized to commemorate the record-breaking first-quarter performance achieved through the joint efforts of employees for a post-COVID resurgence, and to strengthen the will and consensus to continue future growth through the expansion of medium- and long-haul routes.
Since 2014, T'way Air employees have participated annually in marathon events to promote unity and pledge safe operations.
Last year, T'way Air expanded its business area to medium- and long-haul routes by introducing three large aircraft A330-300s and launching new routes to Singapore, Mongolia, and Sydney. Recently, it has also expanded routes to Da Nang, Bangkok (Don Mueang), Osaka, and Nha Trang through Cheongju International Airport.
Additionally, to expand routes, T'way Air plans to introduce 4 to 5 medium- and large-sized aircraft and B737-8 planes annually, and to prepare for this, it has recently been recruiting pilots, cabin crew, and maintenance staff.
Furthermore, for employees who endured unpaid and paid leave during the COVID period, the company recently raised wages by 13%, making efforts to improve working conditions.
