KB Kookmin Bank Hosts 'KB Good Job Excellent Company Job Fair'
KB Kookmin Bank announced on the 22nd that it will hold the '2023 1st KB Good Job Excellent Company Employment Fair.'
The '2023 1st KB Good Job Excellent Company Employment Fair' will be held over two days from today until the 23rd. The opening ceremony was attended by Oh Young-kyo, Chairman of the Win-Win Growth Committee, Lee Bok-hyun, Governor of the Financial Supervisory Service, Lee Jae-geun, President of KB Kookmin Bank, KB promotional model Kim Yuna, and actor Gong Yoo, who encouraged recruiting companies and job seekers.
Started in 2011 and now in its 23rd edition, the KB Good Job Employment Fair is the largest single-scale employment fair in Korea with a total cumulative visitor count of 1.13 million. So far, about 4,900 recruiting companies have participated, providing approximately 82,000 job listings and connecting over 32,000 job seekers with employment opportunities.
This fair featured about 240 recruiting companies, including KB excellent companies, excellent member companies of related organizations, large corporate partners, and KOSDAQ-listed companies, based on strong networking with collaborative institutions, which is KB Good Job's greatest strength. Notably, the fair piloted a 'Blind Recruitment Booth' among the recruitment booths.
Participating recruiting companies in this KB Good Job Excellent Company Employment Fair receive practical benefits such as wage support and financial cost burden relief. A hiring support fund of 1 million KRW per regular employee hired is provided, up to a maximum of 10 million KRW annually per company. Additionally, companies excelling in job creation receive preferential interest rate benefits of up to 1.3 percentage points. To promote interviews for job seekers, an interview support fund of 10,000 KRW will be given on-site to the first 600 applicants.
Even after the fair ends, participating companies will be provided with specialized talent matching services linked with KB Good Job related organizations. Various support measures will be promoted to alleviate manpower shortages and activate recruitment in small and medium-sized enterprises.
Oh Young-kyo, Chairman of the Win-Win Growth Committee, emphasized, "To resolve prejudices and information mismatches regarding small and medium-sized enterprises, a nationwide and public movement along with diverse and concrete projects like the KB Good Job Employment Fair is necessary."
Lee Bok-hyun, Governor of the Financial Supervisory Service, said in his congratulatory remarks, "To achieve dynamic innovative growth, it is important that companies grow through talent and, in turn, provide quality jobs to individuals, creating a virtuous cycle. The Financial Supervisory Service will also support financial companies' efforts to create jobs in line with the government's policy of private-sector-led job creation."
Lee Jae-geun, President of KB Kookmin Bank, stated, "I hope this fair becomes a meaningful opportunity for job seekers to realize their dreams and for recruiting companies to discover talent.
