Choi Ho-kwon, Yeongdeungpo District Mayor, Attends the 4th Disabled Persons' Shulren Competition and Awards Commendations to Disabled Participants
On the afternoon of the 19th, Choi Ho-kwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, attended the '4th Disabled Persons' Shulren Competition' held at Yeongdeungpo No.1 Sports Center and experienced playing Shulren.
Shulren is a traditional Dutch indoor sport where players score points by putting pucks into holes on a wooden board. The game is easy to play and does not put much strain on the body, allowing both disabled and non-disabled players to compete on an equal footing.
About 180 people, including participants, staff, and volunteers, attended the event. Mayor Choi presented commendations to outstanding disabled athletes and spent time communicating with disabled recreational athletes.

Mayor Choi Ho-kwon said, “I hope all the players enjoy the game together and deliver a message of hope that they can overcome disabilities and 'can do it.' We will continue to do our best to promote recreational sports so that disabled people can actively move forward as members of our society.”
