Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, attended the opening ceremony of the ‘Hongdae Music Festival’ held at Hongdae Red Road at 5 PM on the 19th.
A total of about 250 musicians who love Hongdae and spectators gathered at the opening ceremony to celebrate the start of the festival and passionately enjoy the performances.
In his congratulatory speech, Mayor Park said, “Music performances such as busking are the most symbolic charm and uniqueness of Hongdae,” adding, “We will continue to cooperate so that musicians can freely showcase their talents and creativity at Hongdae Red Road, striving to establish it as a famous tourist destination that young people around the world want to visit.”
The Hongdae Music Festival, starting on the 19th and continuing until the 21st, will offer a variety of performances and an art market over three days, providing enjoyment to tourists visiting Hongdae.
