Mayor Hong Taeyong: "Expecting Delicate Leadership and Active Management"
Im Myeong-suk, CEO of Geumgang Metal, was inaugurated as the 12th president of the Gyeongnam Gimhae City Women Entrepreneurs Association.
The association held the inauguration and retirement ceremony at the Gimhae Ice Square Hotel.

About 100 people attended the ceremony held on the 18th, including Mayor Hong Tae-yong, Choi Yeol-su, head of the Gyeongnam Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration, heads of small business support organizations in the province, local businesspeople, and association members.
In addition to the inauguration ceremony, community contribution activities for the underprivileged were carried out, such as donating 5 million won from the Hometown Love Donation Fund and 700 kg of rice to Gimhae City.

According to the association, the new president Im is recognized as a leading local female entrepreneur who has led Geumgang Metal, an automobile parts manufacturing company established in 2007, for 16 years.
President Im said, “I will work hard to promote information exchange and improve the rights of women entrepreneurs,” adding, “Through innovative business activities unique to our women entrepreneurs, we will contribute to the development of the local industry.”
Mayor Hong said, “Gimhae City is undergoing a major transformation of its industrial structure by improving the corporate culture based on manufacturing,” and added, “I hope women entrepreneurs will take the lead in building Gimhae as the economic capital of the southeastern region through their delicate leadership and active management activities.”

Founded in April 2001 and celebrating its 22nd anniversary this year, the Gimhae City Women Entrepreneurs Association currently has 67 members who support strengthening the capabilities of women CEOs through providing business management information and holding workshops.
