Recruitment of Participants for Gangbuk-gu 'Second Half Year Companion Job Project'

Gangbuk-gu (Mayor Lee Soon-hee) is recruiting workers to participate in the 'Second Half Gangbuk-gu Donghaeng Job Project' for five days starting from the 22nd.
In this second half Donghaeng Job Project, the district has enhanced the productivity of public work projects and reorganized it into the 'Seoul Donghaeng Job Project' to establish a self-help foundation that can accompany the vulnerable.
The recruitment fields include 94 projects such as Safe Lunchbox Delivery Assistants and Waste Resource Recycling Projects, with a total of 335 people to be selected. The project period is from July 3 to December 20, but it may vary depending on the announcement schedule of successful candidates and project fields.
Residents of Gangbuk-gu who are 18 years or older with work ability, whose family combined median income is 75% or less, and assets are 400 million KRW or less, can participate. ▲Recipients of livelihood benefits under the National Basic Livelihood Security Act ▲Unemployment benefit recipients ▲Those who have participated in public job projects two or more times in the past two years ▲Those who have participated in public job projects consecutively twice are excluded from recruitment. However, livelihood benefit recipients can participate only if they clearly waive their benefit rights, and residents of jjokbang (tiny rooms), persons with disabilities, and homeless people can participate up to three times in two years (three consecutive participations allowed).
Applicants wishing to participate should bring identification, job registration certificate, and documents proving eligibility for additional points and visit the local community service center of their residential district.

Lee Soon-hee, Mayor of Gangbuk-gu, said, "We hope to provide some support to residents who have no jobs or are struggling to make a living by offering public jobs," and added, "Furthermore, we will spare no effort to support Gangbuk-gu to become a stepping stone for employment."
