A man in his 60s arrested for sexually assaulting a same-sex inmate at a rehabilitation facility for released prisoners
A case of sexual assault against a same-sex inmate at a correctional facility has occurred, and the police are investigating.
On the 18th, Chilgok Police Station booked A (61) without detention on charges of quasi-rape and forcible molestation of B, a same-sex inmate in his 20s, at a correctional facility for released prisoners.
A, who has six prior convictions, was admitted to the correctional facility after completing his sentence and before reintegrating into society. He is accused of touching specific parts of B's body and forcibly molesting him against his will during the evenings of the 5th and 10th.
The crime was reported to the police by an acquaintance of B. A has since completed his education program and been discharged from the facility.

A police official stated, "The victim's interview has been completed at Daegu Jungbu Police Station, and the case has been transferred to Chilgok Police Station in Gyeongbuk to continue the suspect's investigation," adding, "The suspect's residence and whereabouts are easily identifiable."
