Gyeonggi Office of Education Partners with 13 Organizations to Expand 'Creative Convergence Experience'
The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education has joined hands with 13 institutions, including universities in the province, to expand creative convergence experiences.
On the 18th, the Gyeonggi Office of Education announced that it has established a Creative Convergence Experience Support Council with 13 institutions in the province to support students' customized growth, recognizing the importance of digital experiential education for future education and the need for students' digital experiences.
The participating institutions in the council include 10 universities: Gachon University, Kyonggi University, Daejin University, Dongyang University, Sungkyul University, University of Suwon, Yeoju University, Yongin University, Hansei University, and Hanshin University, as well as Gyeonggi Future Education Campuses (Yangpyeong, Paju), Gyeonggi Viewer Media Center, and the Creative Convergence Experience Support Group.
The council will focus on promoting digital creative convergence experiential education in areas such as ▲coding ▲drones ▲chatbots and robots ▲digital webtoons ▲AR (augmented reality) and VR (virtual reality) ▲3D (three-dimensional) printing ▲AI (artificial intelligence) literacy.

Lee Hyun-sook, Director of the Convergence Education Policy Division at the Provincial Office of Education, said, "The significance of this council lies in jointly preparing a Gyeonggi-type digital-based creative convergence experience activation plan with universities and specialized institutions," adding, "We will expand creative convergence experiential education to foster students' convergent thinking skills and bridge the digital divide."
