Yongsan-gu invites local children to the children's musical "Forest Village Environmental Operation," held a total of 5 times until June 30.
"Forest Village Environmental Operation" is an original children's musical covering eco-friendly themes such as waste separation, energy saving, fine dust, and carbon neutrality.
The district invited a total of 675 children to Yongsan Art Hall Small Theater Garam (150 Noksapyeong-daero) and Yongsan Dream Tree Complex Town Theater (329 Baekbeom-ro) for 3 performances in May (11th, 12th, 16th) and 2 performances in June (23rd, 30th).
The target audience is children enrolled in local daycare centers and kindergartens. The district announced the performance in April and recruited participating institutions. It confirmed preferred dates in May to provide free viewing opportunities.
A district official stated, "We invite children to the performance so they can practice eco-friendly habits," adding, "We especially emphasized the episode about separating transparent PET bottles."
The district rented two dedicated theaters to enhance viewing convenience and also set up photo zones for commemorative photos before and after the performance.
Kim Seonsu, Acting Mayor of Yongsan-gu, said, "Habits learned in childhood last a lifetime," and added, "I hope this viewing opportunity will help children make it a daily habit to save resources and reduce waste output."
