Ruling and Opposition Young Politicians in Unison: "Declare the Abolition of Satellite Parties"
Youth politicians from both ruling and opposition parties have come together to demand the abolition of 'satellite parties' from the two major parties.
Youth politicians affiliated with 'Political Reform 2050' held a press conference at the National Assembly on the 17th, calling for electoral system reform.
Political Reform 2050 stated that, according to a public deliberation survey directly participated in by citizens, 84% responded that "there is a need to change the electoral system," and 70% said that the number of proportional representation seats should be increased. They demanded that the National Assembly conduct a vote based on these results. They also requested that the redistricting be finalized by next month.
"Satellite parties are nothing but a trick considering only the party interests of the two major parties," they urged, calling for the abandonment of the 'illegal satellite parties' that were problematic in the last general election.
