Agreement on Introduction of Negotiation Committee Members and Future Negotiation Schedule
HD Hyundai Heavy Industries labor and management held a '2023 Wage Negotiation' introductory meeting at the Ulsan headquarters on the 16th.
The introductory meeting was attended by Lee Sang-gyun, President of HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, Hong Ji-wook, Vice Chairman of the Metal Workers' Union, Jeong Byeong-cheon, Head of the Metal Workers' Union Hyundai Heavy Industries Branch, along with labor and management negotiation committee members. On this day, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries labor and management agreed on basic matters such as the introduction of negotiation committee members and the schedule for future collective bargaining.

President Lee said, “Since this year is a very important period for the company, let us all work together to quickly conclude the negotiations in a way that benefits everyone.” Head Jeong said, “As in last year, I hope that by listening to the voices from the field, we can quickly conclude the collective bargaining and labor and management can work together to create a better workplace.”

The Metal Workers' Union Hyundai Heavy Industries Branch submitted a wage increase demand to the company on the 25th of last month, including a basic salary increase of 184,900 won and an increase in seniority pay. Previously, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries labor and management concluded last year's collective bargaining without dispute for the first time in nine years since 2013.
