Overlaying Existing Asphalt Pavement and Repainting Road Markings Newly-
Dongdaemun-gu (District Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) is carrying out renovation work on aged roads in the residential area of Huigyeong 2-dong 312 district around Hoegi Station on Subway Line 1 to create a safe and pleasant road environment.
The roads in Huigyeong 2-dong 312 district around Hoegi Station have poor surface flatness due to frequent excavation, and are aged and damaged, causing inconvenience to residents’ passage as well as detracting from the urban landscape, thus the need for renovation has been continuously raised.
Accordingly, the district started road renovation on the 8th to improve residents’ commuting environment and living conditions by creating safe and pleasant roads.
The existing aged asphalt pavement road surface, with a width of 3 to 8 meters and a length of 494 meters, will be milled and overlaid, and road markings such as lane lines will be newly repainted. The construction is planned to be completed by the end of May.

Lee Pil-hyung, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, stated, “To make Dongdaemun-gu a ‘city where people want to walk’ and a ‘city where everyone wants to live,’ we will prioritize renovating aged or damaged roads.”
