Mirae Asset Securities Achieves Industry-First 'KRW 11 Trillion in Equity Capital'
Mirae Asset Securities became the first in the financial investment industry to achieve '11 trillion won in equity capital.' This comes two years after surpassing 10 trillion won in 2021.
According to Mirae Asset Securities on the 12th, the company recorded consolidated sales of 6.8654 trillion won and operating profit of 281.7 billion won in the first quarter. Compared to the same period last year, sales increased by 30.6%, while operating profit decreased by 1%. Net income for the period rose by 15.7% to 238.2 billion won, and net income attributable to controlling shareholders increased by 18% to 236.7 billion won.
In particular, Mirae Asset Securities reported controlling shareholder equity capital of 11.03 trillion won on a consolidated basis in the first quarter. This was due to an increase in foreign exchange gains related to overseas business in the first quarter and an increase in valuation gains on investment assets. Through risk management, the real estate project financing (PF) debt guarantee ratio remains at the industry's lowest level of 18%.
