Be Careful of Scams on Online Clothing Store Tium Communication
Repeated Refund Refusal in Response to Subscription Withdrawal Requests
The Korea Consumer Agency and Incheon City warned on the 10th that consumer damages are increasing regarding the internet shopping mall Tium Communication Co., Ltd., which sells clothing.
The Consumer Agency reported that the company operates similar shopping malls such as Pangmall, Dangol Market, and Happthing Mall, and refuses consumer refund requests.
From January to April this year, there were a total of 63 damage relief applications filed with the Consumer Agency against this company, all of which requested contract withdrawal due to reasons such as delivery delays, but the company refused refunds.
The Fair Trade Commission recently decided on corrective orders regarding Tium Communication Co., Ltd.'s actions that obstructed contract withdrawal by not refunding despite consumers' legitimate refund requests.
However, the company still sells clothing and other items through its online shopping malls, raising concerns about the spread of consumer damages.
The Consumer Agency and Incheon City urged consumers to avoid using the company's shopping malls as much as possible and to use credit cards when purchasing products.
