Choi Tae-won Meeting with Prime Minister Kishida: "Korea-Japan, Progressive Relations Inevitable"
Choi Tae-won, Chairman of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, asked Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida to show interest in encouraging Japanese businesspeople to visit Korea frequently and collaborate.
At a meeting between Prime Minister Kishida and Korean business leaders held on the 8th at the Lotte Hotel in Sogong-dong, Seoul, Chairman Choi emphasized, "Korea and Japan are mutually important economic cooperation partners, so a forward-looking relationship toward the future is inevitable."
He continued, "Since the Korea-Japan summit held last March, the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry has been promoting discussions on cooperation between companies from both countries in fields such as semiconductors, batteries, mobility, ventures, and energy," adding, "We aim to quantify the potential synergy of future cooperation."
He also added, "I kindly ask Prime Minister Kishida for his active interest so that Japanese businesspeople visit Korea frequently and can collaborate."
