Lee Byung-ho, President of Korea Rural Community Corporation, Visits Flood Damage Site in Gangjin for On-Site Inspection
On the 8th, Lee Byung-ho, President of the Korea Rural Community Corporation, visited the farmland flood damage site in Samsin-ri, Gundo-myeon, Gangjin-gun, Jeollanam-do to inspect the restoration status and instructed the establishment of countermeasures to prepare for the summer monsoon.
According to the Jeonnam Regional Headquarters on the 8th, due to 243mm of accumulated rainfall in the Gangjin area on the 5th, the water level of Geumsacheon rapidly rose, flooding 15.6 hectares of lowland farmland that experiences frequent flooding every year.
Lee Byung-ho, President of the Korea Rural Community Corporation, visited the flooded farmland damage site in Samsin-ri, Gundong-myeon, Gangjin-gun, Jeollanam-do on the 8th to inspect the restoration status.

In response, the Gangjin branch carried out emergency drainage considering the river water level and deployed six pumps to remove the water, completing the drainage by 10 a.m. the previous day.
Visiting the site after the emergency restoration was completed, President Lee Byung-ho said, “As heavy rain is expected this summer due to the El Ni?o phenomenon, I ask that thorough management and drainage plans be established and implemented to prevent damage to facilities.”
