Namdo HakSuk, 'Jo Deokhee Service Leadership Scholarship' Award Ceremony
500 Million KRW to 17 People
Namdo Hak-suk will hold the 17th 'Jo Deok-hee Servant Leadership Scholarship' award ceremony at 5 p.m. on the 4th at the Dongwon Group headquarters in Seocho-gu, Seoul.
The Jo Deok-hee Servant Scholarship was established in 2006 when the late Jo Deok-hee, wife of Kim Jae-chul, Honorary Chairman of Dongwon Group, donated cash and stocks worth 2 billion KRW to Namdo Hak-suk. This scholarship has been operated since 2007 with the purpose of selecting students aspiring to be leaders in various fields such as politics, economy, finance, academia, and media, and nurturing them as talents who possess a spirit of sacrifice and service, as well as servant leadership characterized by caring for neighbors and leading by example.

Attending the award ceremony will be Kim Jae-chul, Honorary Chairman of Dongwon Group; Park In-gu, Vice Chairman of Dongwon Group; Lee Sang-ho, Director of Namdo Hak-suk; and Lee Young-joo, Secretary General of Namdo Hak-suk. Scholarships of 5 million KRW each will be awarded to 17 university students. Over the past 16 years, a total of 191 students have received this scholarship, amounting to 917.5 million KRW in total awards.
