Gwangju Gwangsan Police Station Conducts Child Abuse Prevention Campaign
Gwangju Gwangsan Police Station conducted a child abuse prevention campaign on the 3rd.
Ahead of Children's Day, in collaboration with Gwangsan District Office, the Child Protection Agency, and other related organizations, they informed about the importance of positive parenting to around 300 parents and local residents at the main gate of Wolgok Elementary School.
They provided guidance on various types and signs of child abuse and urged people to report suspected cases to 112.
Students were taught how to protect their rights from abusers themselves.

Ban Gi-su, Chief of Gwangsan Police Station, said, "We hope this campaign spreads awareness that child abuse is a serious crime," and added, "We will take the lead in protecting children's rights so that they can live safely."
