Changwon National University Announces Public Opinion Survey Results Commissioned by Realmeter
According to the results of a public opinion survey conducted by Realmeter, a professional polling agency, commissioned by Changwon National University, the majority of residents in Gyeongnam Province support the establishment of a medical school and university hospital at Changwon National University.
On the 3rd, the university stated that the survey was conducted from April 19 to 22, targeting 1,000 men and women aged 19 and older within the province.
Regarding the plan to establish a medical school and university hospital at the National Changwon University, 73.9% of respondents answered that they support it.
Among them, 42.3% were strongly in favor, and 31.6% were somewhat in favor.
When asked about the need to additionally establish a national university hospital in Gyeongnam Province, 77.0% responded that it is necessary.
Among those who said it is necessary, 59.6% answered it is very necessary, and 17.4% said it is somewhat necessary.
In a survey on whether the level of medical services at general hospitals in their current residential area is sufficient, 29.0% said not sufficient at all, and 33.9% said not very sufficient, totaling 62.8% expressing insufficiency.
Among respondents who experienced inconvenience due to the absence of advanced medical institutions such as general hospitals nearby, 78.9% supported the establishment of Changwon National University’s medical school and university hospital, while 68.5% of those without such experience also supported it.

This public opinion survey was conducted using an automated response system (ARS) via both landline and mobile phones, with a sampling error of ±3.1 percentage points at a 95% confidence level, and a response rate of 2.3%.
