Chungnam Announces Contest for 'Promising Small and Medium Enterprises'... Applications Accepted This Month at City and County Offices
Chungnam Province is launching a contest for promising small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
On the 3rd, the province announced that it will select and support promising SMEs with future growth potential and marketability among local SMEs.
Applications for promising SMEs can be submitted through the corporate support departments of the city or county with jurisdiction over the business site by the end of this month.
Eligibility requires that, as of the announcement date, the SME must have registered its business and factory in Chungnam and have continuously operated in manufacturing for more than three years (including manufacturing experience in other cities or provinces).
The province plans to select the top 15 promising SMEs between August and September after conducting on-site inspections of companies recommended by the cities and counties following the first document screening.
The selection criteria include companies with excellent technology or quality, such as those possessing advanced technology or patents; companies demonstrating remarkable efforts in technological innovation and high participation in policies; and other companies with significant growth potential fulfilling social responsibilities.
The province will provide selected promising SMEs with benefits for six years, including ▲ preferential scoring in technology fields when selected for the provincial entrepreneur awards ▲ preferential interest rates on manufacturing business stabilization funds for SMEs ▲ a three-year deferral of local tax audits ▲ support for participation in domestic and international exhibitions, trade delegations, and export consultation meetings ▲ and improvements to inconveniences identified through surveys.
Since 1997, the province has selected and supported a total of 582 promising SMEs up to last year.
