KOTRA Conducts Marketing Project Linked to Overseas Exhibitions
Relay Hosting of Industry and Region-Specific Promising Exhibition-Linked Export-Direct Projects
KOTRA recently announced on the 5th that it will consecutively hold export-direct marketing projects linked to promising overseas exhibitions in line with the government's export-plus policy.
Every year, KOTRA organizes Korean pavilions at 80 to 100 overseas exhibitions to support the participation of domestic small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-sized companies. To enhance the effectiveness of participating in Korean pavilions and discover new promising exhibitions, it selects 'Overseas Exhibition-Linked Convergence Projects' and holds export consultation meetings and conferences.
This year, 12 overseas exhibition-linked convergence projects will be promoted across various regions abroad, with 370 domestic companies participating and conducting over 1,300 B2B consultations. With the global reopening, overseas exhibitions, which are rapidly recovering to their original state, will be actively utilized for short-term export expansion.
First, on the 11th, KOTRA will operate a national promotional pavilion showcase at the China International Consumer Goods Fair, one of the largest exhibitions in southern China, and support both online and offline marketing. Companies that find it difficult to participate directly in the exhibition can discover buyers through sample displays and proxy consultations, and will also be directly connected to one-on-one video consultations afterward.
In Uzbekistan, the 'Medical Roadshow in Uzbekistan' will be held from the 13th in connection with the Tashkent International Medical Exhibition. After providing guidance on Uzbek pharmaceutical and medical device certification and customs clearance procedures through a preliminary webinar, showcases and consultations will be supported at the exhibition site.
In Houston, USA, an export consultation meeting linked to the marine technology exhibition, held from May 1 to May 4, is being prepared. Consultations with key purchasing managers of global companies in the shipbuilding, marine, and energy plant sectors will be arranged to help 18 domestic companies enter new supply chains.
Attention is also given to overseas expansion opportunities through conferences and networking, not just export consultation meetings. At the BIO USA exhibition held in Boston, USA, for four days starting June 5, the 'Korea Bio-Tech Partnership (KBTP)' will be held. KBTP will invite renowned overseas speakers such as Professor Robert Langer, founder of Moderna, to provide information on bioindustry trends and clinical trial-related legal information. Afterwards, one-on-one consultations and networking events with pre-matched buyers and investors will be held. This will provide close support to our companies in line with the bio industry's characteristic where partnering is crucial.
Additionally, projects for overseas expansion in the beauty, automotive parts, IT, and food sectors will continue until September this year in locations such as Nagoya, Japan; Wuhan, China; Paris, France; and Mumbai, India.
