CJ Daehan Tongun Strengthens Medical Logistics Expertise... Obtains ISO International Certification
CJ Logistics announced on the 5th that it has obtained the ISO 13485 certification for medical device quality management systems.
The ISO 13485 certification is a specialized certification for safely handling medical devices such as biosensors and various diagnostic kits. Medical devices are used on patients and are closely related to human life and health, requiring a high level of caution in handling.
In particular, the transportation difficulty is very high because if even a part of the product has a problem during the entire logistics process, the entire batch must be discarded, and strict quality control and other stringent conditions must be met. This is why it is nicknamed so-called 'Clean Logistics.'
CJ Logistics plans to actively expand its clean logistics business related to the bio and healthcare industries both domestically and internationally, including medical devices. With the acquisition of this certification, the business promotion is expected to accelerate further.
TUV NORD, the German-based global testing and certification organization with over 150 years of history and expertise, which granted the certification to CJ Logistics, is recognized as a leader in industrial sector certifications worldwide.
CJ Logistics prepared for the certification for about eight months starting from July last year and recently succeeded in obtaining it. The company has been recognized for its global-level capabilities in transportation, cargo handling, logistics center operations, international logistics, and other related services for medical devices. CJ Logistics also plans to pursue even higher-level certifications related to clean logistics in the future.
