"Maximizing Driving Immersion" Maserati Launches Convertible 'MC20 Cello'
Official Launch of Maserati MC20 Cello in Korea on the 4th
Equipped with Aerodynamic Design and Glass Roof Technology
Limited Edition 'MC20 Cello Primacserie' Released with Only 5 Units Available in Korea
Italian luxury car brand Maserati has launched the convertible super sports car 'MC20 Cielo Primaserie' in South Korea.
On the 4th, Maserati held a launch event for the convertible super sports car 'MC20 Cielo' at the FMK Maserati Hannam showroom. At the event, Maserati also unveiled the 'MC20 Cielo Primaserie,' which is limited to 65 units globally and 5 units domestically.
The MC20 Cielo is the convertible version of the coupe model MC20. It features elegant design and powerful performance. New technologies such as aerodynamic design and a fully retractable glass roof have been applied.
The MC20 Cielo introduces an electric retractable glass roof. The glass roof can be opened or closed, and when closed, the glass can be adjusted to opaque. This is thanks to polymer dispersed liquid crystal technology. The roof opening and closing speed is also 12 seconds, the fastest among vehicles in its class.

The design of the MC20 Cielo is elegant yet sleek. The design goal is to organically integrate all requirements while emphasizing aerodynamic design. It is equipped with butterfly doors, commonly used in supercars, and features the exclusive color 'Acquamarina.'
The interior embraces minimalism. Two 10.25-inch screens are installed. Unnecessary decorations such as gear buttons and infotainment volume controls have been minimized on the center tunnel. The seats use carbon fiber, giving a matte fabric-like feel.
The engine is the same Nettuno engine used in the MC20 Cielo coupe. The Nettuno is a 3.0ℓ 6-cylinder twin-turbo V 90° engine. It delivers 630 horsepower at 7500rpm and 73.4kg·m of torque at 3000rpm.
The core technology of the MC20 Cielo convertible is its sophisticated aerodynamic design. Despite having a retractable roof, it does not disrupt the clean flow of lines nor compromise aerodynamic efficiency. The engine bay air intake has been relocated to an aerodynamically optimized position. The B-pillar has an aerodynamic shape to allow air to flow smoothly over the surface. Through these efforts, a drag coefficient of 0.39 was achieved.
