Fire Rekindled on Inwangsan Mountain Just 5 Hours After Complete Extinguishment Declaration
A fire, suspected to be a re-ignition, broke out on Inwangsan Mountain in Seoul, prompting firefighting authorities to launch suppression efforts.
At around 6:20 PM on the 3rd, a fire suspected to be a re-ignition occurred near Ant Village in Hongje-dong, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, on the 6th to 7th ridges of Inwangsan Mountain.
The firefighting authorities have deployed 38 vehicles and 145 personnel to carry out firefighting operations.

View original imageOn Inwangsan Mountain, a wildfire broke out the previous day at around 11:53 AM on the 6th ridge near Gichabawi Rock, burning 15.2 hectares of forest land, equivalent to 21 soccer fields (7,140㎡ each).
The firefighting authorities declared the fire fully extinguished at 1:26 PM on the same day, about 25 hours later.
