Ulsan Office of Education Conducts On-site Consulting for Elementary After-school Care Classrooms
Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education will launch on-site support consulting to ensure the effective operation of elementary after-school care classrooms.
On the 31st, Ulsan Office of Education announced that starting from April, it will conduct on-site support consulting to diagnose and inspect the overall operation of elementary after-school care classrooms, including facilities and accounting.
During the consulting, a comprehensive inspection will be conducted across 15 areas, including checking the improvement of aging facilities, meal and snack management, and safety management.
Problems identified during the consulting will be addressed, and best practices will be shared. Suggestions from on-site surveys will be actively reflected in the operation of elementary after-school care classrooms next year.
Additionally, cyber consulting will be operated to connect counselors (consultants) with care specialists to provide year-round support for care specialists’ duties, and a voluntary mentoring project will help facilitate free sharing of work among specialists.
The on-site support consulting team consists of 20 members in total, with 10 members per support office, including vice principals, administrative directors, and care specialists from various schools.
Focused consulting will also be provided for schools requesting consulting, such as those hiring new specialists or substitute personnel and schools needing environmental improvements.
An official from the Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education stated, “We will continue to support so that students can receive high-quality care services in a safer environment,” and added, “We will actively help reduce the workload of care specialists by sharing best practices.”
Last month, the Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education conducted training for 25 counselors of elementary after-school care classrooms at the Gonggam meeting room.
