Global e-commerce platform Qoo10 announced on the 31st that it will acquire the management rights of 'Interpark Commerce.' Interpark Commerce is a newly established commerce-specialized platform created last month through the physical division of the shopping and book business sectors from Interpark.
Qoo10 will acquire all shares of Interpark Commerce and obtain management rights as well as ownership of Interpark Commerce's mobile apps, 'Interpark Shopping' and 'Interpark Books.' Qoo10's global capabilities are expected to become a new growth foundation for Interpark Commerce. For Interpark Commerce's 28 million customers, Qoo10 plans to deliver products carefully selected overseas with faster delivery and an improved shopping experience. Sellers will have the opportunity to significantly expand sales by connecting with consumers in 24 countries worldwide served by Qoo10.

Interpark explained that it decided on this sale to streamline management and focus its capabilities on the travel and ticket business. Through the sale, it plans to strengthen and advance the systems of its core travel and ticket sectors. It also expects greater synergy with Yanolja. An Interpark representative said, "The sale was smoothly finalized through good coordination between the two companies," adding, "Interpark will continue to grow as a leading domestic travel platform and the number one business in airline tickets and tickets."
