Gang Arrested for Robbing Jewelry Store and Fleeing... Stole 150 Don of Gold
The police arrested two men who robbed a jewelry store located in Singil-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, and fled.
On the 31st, the Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul announced that they had apprehended Lee (in his 40s) and Hwang (in his 60s), who are suspected of special theft.
The main suspect, Lee, is accused of breaking into the jewelry store on the 29th while wearing a helmet and smashing the door with a hammer, stealing approximately 150 don of gold. The police caught Lee around 10:40 PM on the day of the incident in the Gyesan-dong area of Incheon by analyzing nearby CCTV footage.
Hwang, who is suspected of conspiring with Lee and keeping watch while Lee committed the crime, was caught around 8:20 PM the previous day in the Geumo-dong area of Uijeongbu-si, Gyeonggi Province.

A police official stated, "We have applied for an arrest warrant for Lee, and after investigating Hwang, we plan to apply for a warrant for him as well." The pre-arrest detention hearing (warrant review) for Lee will be held at around 10:30 AM today.
