Seongnam City to Unveil New Urban Brand on the 31st
Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province unveiled its new urban brand identity (BI) "Hope City Seongnam" design on the 31st.
The new urban brand was designed under the theme "Welcome To Hyper-Connected City" with advanced technology, innovation, and humanity.

It features a form that flexibly connects the initial consonants of the two syllables in "Seongnam" with lines, combined with the phrase "Hope City."
The space created by the flexibly connected lines symbolizes Seongnam as a city where infinite possibilities are realized.
"Hope City" is a phrase that encapsulates the innovation, inclusion, and future vision pursued by Seongnam City.
Seongnam City applied a dual-meaning color scheme of purple-blue by blending red, symbolizing the passion of its citizens, and blue, representing Seongnam's advanced industries, to the urban brand design.
This urban brand design was finalized after comprehensive reflection of reviews by the Public Design Promotion Committee and expert consultations.
The city plans to develop various forms of brand application designs to be used across facilities, events, forms, and promotional materials throughout the region.

A city official stated, "We developed the design by utilizing elements of the two syllables of 'Seongnam' so that the entire nation can intuitively recognize it," adding, "It will enhance citizens' pride and become a city brand loved for a long time, spreading public value."
