Gyeonggi-do Selects 90 Nonprofit Private Organizations for Public Interest Activity Support
Gyeonggi Province has confirmed 90 organizations to participate in this year's support project for public interest activities by non-profit private organizations.
The province announced on the 30th that it reviewed the projects of a total of 171 organizations that applied for the 'Public Interest Activity Support Project' from January 5 to 25, selecting 90 organizations across three sectors, including the Gyeonggi Veterinary Association.
This project is promoted annually through a public contest to support the voluntary growth of non-profit private organizations in the province and to promote public interest activities.
The supported projects include 29 in the community and welfare sector such as JL Hankkum Arts Group's 'Social Life Connection Program for People with Developmental Disabilities,' 33 in the culture and general sector such as the Northern Gyeonggi Labor Rights Center's 'Life with Evenings, Work-Life Balance After-Work School,' and 28 in the environment and safety sector such as the Gyeonggi Veterinary Association's 'Animal Love Practice Activities.'
The selected organizations will receive subsidies ranging from 5 million to 30 million KRW per project and will engage in public interest activities in various fields including social welfare, cultural tourism, sports promotion, environmental conservation, transportation, and safety within the private sector.
The province plans to promptly provide subsidies upon request from the selected organizations. Additionally, it will maintain communication with the organizations throughout the project execution process, sharing progress, offering tailored consulting, handling accounting, and monitoring progress to practice diverse cooperative governance based on public-private collaboration.
