Driver of Refrigerated Truck Dies After Trailer Collision on Namhae Expressway
At around 5:36 a.m. on the 29th, a collision occurred between a 2.5-ton refrigerated truck and a 25-ton trailer at the 14.9 km mark on the Namhae Expressway Branch 1 heading towards Suncheon, resulting in the death of the truck driver in his 30s at the scene.
According to the Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency and Changwon Fire Headquarters, the refrigerated truck, carrying steel beams, crashed into the rear of the trailer about 200 meters before the Masan tollgate.
At the time of the accident, the truck driver, Mr. A, reportedly failed to notice the trailer while changing lanes just before entering the tollgate, causing the collision.
