Blue Lighting Projected on Department Store Exterior
Galleria Department Store announced on the 29th that it will participate in the 'Blue Light Campaign' in observance of World Autism Awareness Day on the 2nd of next month.
The Blue Light Campaign is a global initiative that lights up landmarks around the world in blue to raise awareness and understanding of autism spectrum disorder. Major landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Times Square in New York, and the Leaning Tower of Pisa participate, with over 170 countries involved worldwide.
Galleria will project blue lighting using media art on the exterior of its stores: at the Seoul Luxury Hall from the 1st to the 2nd, from 6 PM for two hours, and at Daejeon Timeworld on the 2nd from 6 PM for two hours.

Earlier, on the 25th, Galleria also took part in Earth Hour 2023, a global lights-out campaign hosted by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). Earth Hour is a global nature conservation campaign started in 2007 to raise awareness of climate change and environmental destruction and to inspire change.

A Galleria representative said, “We have been participating in the Blue Light Campaign since 2017 to raise awareness and understanding of autism spectrum disorder,” adding, “We will continue to join in delivering public interest messages through various means.”
