Internet Promotion Agency Conducts 'Elite Cybersecurity Professional Training' Program
The Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) announced on the 28th that, starting from the 4th of next month, it will conduct the 'Elite Information Security Professional (K-Shield) Training Program' to enhance the job expertise of professionals in the information security field, supported by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and in collaboration with the Human Resources Development Service of Korea.
KISA has integrated the previously dual-operated training programs?industry demand-tailored professional training (Industrial Security) and elite information security professional training (K-Shield)?into a single K-Shield program to improve curriculum linkage and strengthen the education brand image.
Additionally, to implement the government's 'Cybersecurity 100,000 Talent Development Plan,' KISA expanded the existing 24 courses to 52 courses and completely revamped the curriculum into five levels of customized training, ranging from beginner (K-Shield Start) to advanced (K-Shield Pro+).
Meanwhile, this year, to actively reflect regional information security education demands, KISA plans to pilot the 'Case-Based Consulting Practice Course for K-Shield Information Security Officers' twice, in July and November, in Busan.
