Jinju City to Resume Operation of 'Jinju Namgang Music Fountain' from the 29th
It Seems to Embroider Jinju's Night Even More Beautifully
Jinju City in Gyeongnam will resume the operation of the ‘Jinju Namgang Music Fountain,’ which has beautifully decorated the night of the thousand-year-old city of Jinju with colorful fountains and has received much attention and love from citizens, starting from the 29th.
The music fountain is located on the Namgang riverside below Seojangdae of Jinju Fortress and will operate until October 31. The performance times are twice a week from Wednesday to Thursday (8 PM and 9 PM) and three times a week from Friday to Sunday (7 PM, 8 PM, and 9 PM), with one-hour intervals.
Additionally, during this year’s 2023 Jinju Asia Weightlifting Championships, the Nongae Festival in May, and the festival period in October, the fountain will operate three times daily (7 PM, 8 PM, and 9 PM) to enhance the festive atmosphere.
The music selection has been expanded by 40 songs last year, totaling 120 songs, including K-pop, pop songs, trot, and classical music, arranged to resonate with all generations and tourists.
The characteristic of the music fountain is that it sprays water jets of various heights and shapes according to the music’s content and mood, creating an appearance as if it is singing along to the rhythm.
In addition, during the summer, the ground fountains operate simultaneously, making it a popular cool healing spot for visitors.
