A man and a woman who were wandering the streets under the influence of drugs were caught by the police following a citizen's report.
The Gwangju Gwangsan Police Station announced on the 27th that they have applied for arrest warrants for a Korean man and a Thai woman, a couple in their 30s, on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act.
They were arrested by police who responded to a citizen's report after wandering the streets of Suwan District, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, around 9 p.m. on the 25th while under the influence of drugs.
The police received reports of people dangerously walking on the road, staggering or moving up and down the street.
The police conducted a simple test, judging that although there was no smell of alcohol, their behavior was abnormal, and confirmed a positive reaction to methamphetamine.
They reportedly stated to the police that they purchased about 300,000 won worth of methamphetamine from an unidentified seller through the internet messenger Telegram.
