Changwon Fire Headquarters, Recruiting Members for Korea 119 Youth Corps
For Kindergarten, Elementary, Middle, and High School Students, and University Students
The Changwon Fire Headquarters in Gyeongnam is recruiting members for the Korea 119 Youth Corps Changwon Branch.
Established in 1963, the Youth Corps was founded to foster a correct understanding of fire safety and safety awareness, nurturing future safety leaders. It was officially designated as a corporation in 2021.
Last year in Changwon, 496 members from 17 teams were active, and this year, new members are being recruited to cultivate future safety leaders.
The recruitment target includes anyone from kindergarteners to university students residing in Changwon. Once registered as a member of the Korea 119 Youth Corps, participants can take part in various safety programs such as fire safety education, 119 safety experiences, and national safety camps.
Applications can be submitted at the fire stations under the jurisdiction of each district in Changwon, and detailed information is available on the Changwon Fire Headquarters website.

Kim Yongjin, head of the Changwon Fire Headquarters, said, “The Korea 119 Youth Corps helps young people grow into responsible adults with consideration through disciplined group activities while acquiring knowledge and skills related to fire and safety,” adding, “We ask for your interest so that many youths can join.”
