Children's Grand Park, Breaking Nearby Wooden Decks and Escaping
A zebra that escaped from Seoul Children's Grand Park caused a commotion as it wandered through a residential area in the city, prompting authorities to launch a capture operation.
According to Seoul Children's Grand Park, at around 2:50 PM on the 23rd, a zebra escaped from the zoo at Neung-dong Children's Grand Park in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, and was seen roaming the residential area of Jayang-dong.
Police, fire authorities, and park keepers have surrounded the escaped zebra and are attempting to capture it by setting up safety fences.
The park officials reported that the zebra escaped by breaking the wooden deck installed around its enclosure within the park.

A park representative said, "The zebra was born in 2021 at Children's Grand Park," and added, "We will do our best to ensure its safe return."
