Professor and over 10 medical staff at Asan Hospital accused of sexual harassment... "Excluded from treatment"
A professor at Seoul Asan Medical Center has been accused of sexually harassing more than 10 people, including residents and nurses.
On the 18th, Seoul Asan Medical Center announced that it had received internal reports of sexual harassment against Professor A from the Department of Pulmonology and had excluded Professor A from clinical duties.
According to the medical community, the number of victims who claimed to have been sexually harassed or sexually offended by Professor A is known to be around 10, including residents and nurses.
Among the reported incidents to the hospital were allegations such as "He said he would teach how to perform a cardiac ultrasound and stroked from below the neck to the end of the chest with his hand," and "He frequently touched thighs during meetings."
There were also claims that he verbally sexually harassed female residents by saying things like "You must be able to maintain your figure since it's tough."
Some of the victims are reportedly receiving psychiatric treatment due to the trauma caused by Professor A.

The hospital plans to hold a disciplinary committee to determine the level of punishment once the fact-finding investigation is completed.
