NC Appoints Vice President Koo Hyun-beom as Chief Operating Officer
NCSoft has appointed Vice President Koo Hyun-beom as Chief Operating Officer (COO), overseeing the management support and technical support organizations.
On the 17th, NCSoft announced this organizational restructuring plan internally.
According to this reorganization, COO Koo will oversee not only the human resources tasks he previously managed but also the entire support organization of NCSoft, including security and technical support, legal affairs and ethical management, public relations, and policy research.
Vice President Koo was born in 1967, graduated from Korea University with a degree in Education in 1992, and has served as Head of Human Resources Development and Executive Director of Human Resources at NCSoft. He was appointed Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) in 2017 and promoted to Vice President in 2020.

NCSoft stated regarding this organizational restructuring, "It is intended to strengthen company-wide operational efficiency and collaboration capabilities to proactively respond to an uncertain business environment." They added, "COO Koo, with his deep understanding of company operations and ability to coordinate tasks, will be the right person to manage integrated and efficient support operations in line with global new releases and business expansion."
