SK Ocean Plant and Corio Generation Join Forces for Global Offshore Wind Project
SK Ecoplant's offshore wind subsidiary SK Oceanplant and Corio Generation (hereinafter Corio), a global offshore wind development company under the Green Investment Group (GIG), have pledged mutual cooperation and support in domestic and international offshore wind projects.

View original imageSK Oceanplant announced on the 17th that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding for mutual cooperation in offshore wind business with Corio at Corio's Seoul office the previous day. Through this agreement, the two companies will establish a cooperative relationship in six regions, including the UK, Australia, Taiwan, and Busan, with a total offshore wind project capacity of 6.8GW (gigawatts).
Through this agreement, SK Oceanplant will enter the global offshore wind market by partnering with Corio, a world-class offshore wind development company. Corio plans to accelerate domestic and international projects, including the fixed offshore wind projects Cheongsapo and Dadaepo in Busan, by partnering with SK Oceanplant, which has technological capabilities in supplying and manufacturing offshore wind substructures and offshore substations.
Specifically, SK Oceanplant will be responsible for manufacturing and supplying offshore wind substructures and offshore substations, while Corio will take charge of offshore wind project development, investment, and management.

Meanwhile, Corio was established in April last year and operates independently, currently developing offshore wind projects totaling more than 20GW worldwide.
