Police University Holds 2023 Appointment Ceremony for New Police Lieutenants and Captains
Appointment of 180 People Including Police University and Police Inspector Open Recruitment Candidates
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] On the afternoon of the 16th, the Korean National Police University held an appointment ceremony for 180 people, including the 39th class of the Police University, the 71st class of the open recruitment for police inspectors, and the 10th class of the lawyer career competitive recruitment, at the Korean National Police University in Asan, Chungnam.
About 1,400 people, including Prime Minister Han Duck-soo, other guests, appointees, their families, and trainees, attended the appointment ceremony.
President Yoon Suk-yeol awarded the Presidential Award to Police Inspector Joo Hyung-jin (male, 24 years old), the top student at the Police University, and Police Inspector So Woo-jung (female, 32 years old), the top scorer among the open competitive recruitment for police inspectors.
Inspector Joo pledged, "With the precious values and knowledge I learned at the university, I will passionately and diligently work for a safer Republic of Korea with the same enthusiasm and mindset until the moment I take off my uniform as a police officer."
