Defense and Nuclear Power Specialized 'Changwon National Industrial Complex 2.0' Finally Realized
Changwon National Industrial Complex 2.0, which has been a key focus of Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam, has been included as a candidate site in the government's plan to establish advanced industrial complexes.
On the 15th, President Yoon Suk-yeol stated at the 14th Emergency Economic and Livelihood Meeting, "To foster advanced industries such as space, future cars, and hydrogen, we plan to newly establish 14 national advanced industrial complexes in local areas, covering a total area of 33 million square meters, exceeding 10 million pyeong."

According to the government, the 14 national advanced industrial complexes in local areas will be established in Changwon, Daegu, Andong, Gyeongju, Uljin, Daejeon, Cheonan, Cheongju, Hongseong, Gwangju, Goheung, Iksan, Wanju, and Gangneung.
A national industrial complex specializing in defense and nuclear industries will be developed in Buk-myeon and Dong-eup areas of Uichang-gu, Changwon.
