'Yuseungmin Faction' Kang Daesik: "Yoon's 'Party Control' Is Not to That Extent"
"Add the 47% Vote Share That Did Not Vote for Kim Ki-hyun"
Kang Dae-sik, a nominated Supreme Council member from the 'Yoo Seung-min faction' of the People Power Party, drew a line on June 14 regarding the controversy over President Yoon Seok-yeol's alleged personal faction, saying "It's not to that extent."
On the same day, Kang said on KBS's 'Choi Kyung-young's Strong Current Affairs' in response to the host's question, "What do you think about the evaluation that President Yoon has taken control of the ruling party?" "I am practically involved, and while there might occasionally be a little of that, it is not to the extent that people outside think," he said.
Former lawmaker Yoo Seung-min also criticized the 'personal faction' of President Yoon through his social media after the new leadership was formed. Regarding this, Kang said, "It is difficult for me to judge his expression one way or another," and added, "We need to accept all such (critical) points and proceed accordingly," showing a cautious response.

Reactions to former leader Lee Jun-seok and the 'Lee Jun-seok faction' are also divided among Supreme Council members. Kang said, "All four who ran for party leader are, in a way, true treasures and assets of our party," and added, "I am one of those who prefer additive politics rather than subtractive politics. Representative Kim Ki-hyun's vote share is about 52.7%, and the remaining three have about 47%, so we need to 'add' that 47% as well."
