Yoo Sang-beom: "Whether the Lee Jun-seok faction joins Yeonpotang depends on Lee Jun-seok"
"Results of Prosecutor's Investigation into False Accusations of Sexual Bribery Must Be Released"
Yoo Sang-beom, the newly appointed chief spokesperson of the People Power Party, stated that whether the so-called 'Yeonpotang (Yeondae Inclusion and Reconciliation)' proposed by Representative Kim Ki-hyun will include the Lee Jun-seok faction depends on former Representative Lee Jun-seok himself.
On the 14th, Yoo responded to the host's question on MBC's 'Kim Jong-bae's Focus' about whether the Lee Jun-seok faction would be included in the Yeonpotang ingredients by saying, "That depends on former Representative Lee."
The new leadership, advocating the so-called 'Yeonpotang appointments,' appointed Kang Dae-sik, affiliated with the Yoo Seung-min faction, as a nominated Supreme Council member, and Kim Min-su, former party district committee chairman affiliated with the Na Kyung-won faction, as spokesperson, but the 'Lee Jun-seok faction' was not included in this appointment.
Yoo said, "First of all, he has been sent to the police with a recommendation for indictment on false accusation charges related to the current sexual bribery issue," adding, "Since the case has been forwarded to the prosecution and a prosecution investigation is forthcoming, the matter can only be discussed after the prosecution investigation results come out."
He also predicted that the summons investigation of former Representative Lee would begin soon. He said, "Recently, the defamation charges against Gaese-yeon (Garoseuro Research Institute) filed by former Representative Lee's side were dismissed," adding, "The defamation case was closed without charges, and since the defamation case under police investigation was not yet concluded, the investigation was delayed, but now the investigation will proceed in earnest."

However, he also left open the possibility of appointing other members of the Lee Jun-seok faction besides the former representative. Yoo said, "We have not decided not to use the Lee Jun-seok faction, and from the perspective of unification, it is always possible," adding, "If they are capable and harmonious figures, regardless of their stance within the camp, they can be selected and assigned roles. This is the realization of the promise of Yeonpotang," leaving room for future inclusion.
