Incheon Airport Corporation Transfers Operational Know-How to Oman Airports Management Company
Incheon International Airport Corporation announced on the 13th that it conducted an "Aircraft Movement Area Operation On-site Training" for officials from Oman Airports Management Company from the 6th to the 10th.
Eleven employees working in the aircraft movement area at Muscat Airport in Oman attended this training course. They acquired know-how for the safe operation of the movement area, which includes key airport facilities such as the control tower and runways.
During the on-site training, the corporation provided theoretical education and practical training on ▲movement area operation and maintenance ▲air traffic control and runway operation ▲ground handling facility operation ▲airfield lighting system operation ▲refueling facility operation ▲rescue, firefighting, and emergency planning ▲wildlife control management.
The Oman Airports Management Company participating in this training program is responsible for operating Muscat Airport, the capital airport of Oman. To prepare for the recent surge in air travel demand following the easing of COVID-19 quarantine regulations, they are promoting facility improvements and expansion at Muscat Airport.
